4 Stages in the life of Ribes aureumalso known as golden or buffalo currant. A native of Western N America and growing to height of 6-8ft and spread of around 4-5ft, its flowers are clove scented, bright yellow and tubular, appearing as drooping racemes in April. They are followed by berries which eventually turn a globose black.

V1 The flowers
V2 The berries a little time prior to them turning black.
V3 October colour in the leaves begins
V4 Last week in the snow.

This is a lovely set Ann - very nice close-up of the flowers in v2 and nice against the black background. The berries and fall leaves are beautiful in colour. The simplicity of the shot in v4 is very appealing.
