The front gates of one of the local schools in Kos Town.

I used the distort and perspective tools as there was distortion of the building (constrain proportions ticked this time). The road was on a slope.

I like the way the gate is open, as if to invite the viewer inside.

I'd be grateful for and ideas and opinions on how this shot could be improved.

Thanks for looking

I wonderful image, wonderfully captured. However I feel that because the top of this wonderful school is missing I would rather like to see a tighter letter box crop. "Only a suggestion, but I think it works quite well?"

Please see my attempt at a modification GrinGrinGrin

Wow - I love your Mod Nathan.

I didn't think of this crop, but I'm amazed at the difference it makes cropping out the sky and the top of the building.

Thank you very much................love it.

I hope you're keeping well, take care.

I agree with nathan. There is someting missing on the top, so cropping as nathan did work better.Wink

Hi Ian,

Thanks for taking the time to comment, and I agree with you that Nathan's mod is great.

I see from your pf that you've been to the Greek Islands recently like myself, and I've enjoyed looking at your shots. I like your story behind your elderly Greek lady shot. I didn't take many shots of the locals as I was too shy to ask........when I did pluck up the courage to ask a couple of times,I found the people on Kos and Nisyros to be very obliging, they were very pleasant and seemed to like getting their pictures taken.

None of my people shots are as good as yours though - I may upload one or two here to ask for help on how I could improve my technique for this type of shot..........I'm going to India travelling all the way down the Ganges in February so would like to brush up on this area of photography.

Looking forward to seeing more of your Greek Island shots.

Cheers

Elaine
