Good morning.....
Thank you so much for all the votes and amusing comments on yesterdays flamingo image, also a huge thank you to John (JohnoP), Patty (Pentaxpatty) and to Billy (Williamsloan) for their UA's, much appreciated.
Staying with birds, I am dedicating this upload to Lynette (lynniesefforts) who is celebrating her birthday today in Australia.
It was a rather windy afternoon in Pelican bay and I loved the seagulls feathers blowing in the wind.
V2....I also found this little guy next to him, can someone ID him for me....not the best with the sun at the level it was and they were also a distance from me.
Have a nice day.....Grin

Three very aesthetically pleasing images!
It's very tricky to get the exposure right in bright sunshine... You did very well in each image. IB

Lovely shots Colleen. I think it is either an Arctic or a Common Tern, I'm not sure which as they are very similar and also I don't know whether you get Common Terns down your way. On balance I would suggest the Arctic variety.

Three splendid shots Colleen, the terns are often difficult to ID at this time of year, when they are not fully in breeding plumage, my inclination is to say that it is a first winter non breeding immature Common tern...... Not sure of its name, but it may be Ern the Tern Smile

Not at all familiar with seaside birds, but your images are clear and sharp-- and as Mike Young above tells you what they are, I will just say , a wonderful gathering!
