For some reason I just love the slate fences found in hills of North Wales. I like the way they are joined by wire and the random shapes put side by side. It is probably an early method of recycling where the waste material from the quarries was put to good use.

Llyn Cwmorthin can just be seen in the distance and you pass back down on the way to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Thanks for looking and for all C & C's on last upload.

John I like the composition a very great deal, but wonder about the manipulation. I cannot reconcile the really dark clouds with the sunlight and the light reflections in the water. It would be good to see the original for comparison, or the next image in the midst of the storm - in my eyes it might be better!

Regards, Mike

You got a nice "break" with the break in the clouds and that light hitting the far mountainside. Also like the dramatic sky, and that fence is wonderful. In Norway we have the usual stone fences made from all the rock dug out of the earth while breaking ground. It's interesting to see this slate fence and that wonderful lichen growing on it.
Nice one.
