Taken this evening - 21x two minute exposures merged together using Photoshop layers. It was meant to be 60 exposures but the clouds came. I left one frame with clouds in as I like the effect.
Great photography here !! A good star trail anchored by the trees below - really a stunning photo
Very nice star trails and light rays...
You got me at thumb nails and it still holds me at full size...
Interesting how the earth's orbit, gives the whirlpool effect to the stars
A quick look and you can see the keys of a piano............
This is superb Pete, gets my award !!
Patience rewarded by this lovely and technically excellent image.
Good grief! I don't know how you lot are so patient when doing these long exposures. But the results are well worth it, and I like the inclusion of the clouds. Top work.
I like the pov Pete - the light through the bottom of the tree trunks is nice. I'm glad you left a frame with the clouds in it - it's given a very good effect of rays in the sky.
I wonder if I will ever have the patience to go out in the evening to capture star trails.......
First class photograph Pete, totally inspirational.
Amazing shot !!!......wonderful aura in this beauty !!!!
Love the view point here Pete, giving the Trees a certain majesty. The cloud effect is quite Heavenly, and the spiral of Stars topping off this image VERY nicely indeed.
A brilliant result Pete...lovely framing with the trees.
Great image and exposure work Pete.
An awesome picture with this unusual sky
Beautiful...and i admire the patience as well!
I like this. It's quite unique, I've seen some ones always with a church on it...this one is different. I like the light at the background, but I can't work out where it was from, it should be totally dark at the time of the year..very strong artificial(?) light .. worked well...
