I have cropped out some of the mess that was in front of her and given it a mono conversion....not sure if this works?

There's some ghosting on the curve of her right arm and directly in front of the book, but this is easily rectified. A fine image that IMO works in mono very nicely. A lovely expression on her face captured by your camera.
