The wall of tiles Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma City bombing was a terrorist attack on April 19, 1995 aimed at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, a U.S. government office complex in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The attack claimed 168 lives of which 19 were children and left over 800 injured.
The victims ranged from 3 months old to 73 years old. Until the September 11, 2001 attacks, it was the deadliest act of terrorism on U.S. soil. The blast destroyed a third of the building and created a thirty-foot (9 m) wide, eight-foot (2.4 m) deep crater on NW 5th Street next to the building
The Photograph here shows the wall of ceramic tiles hand-painted with messages from students and teachers from across the country. It’s in the children’s area in front of the Memorial Museum when entering from Harvey Avenue. The paved area allows children to write messages on slabs with coloured chalks. It’s a very poignant area that leaves you with a very lasting memory.
Thanks for looking
