The Water Meadows of the River Avon at Christchurch

Somewhere in there is the bed of the River Avon which at present has spread right across the water meadows (about 2 miles wide) preventing any flooding of local properties (it was a near thing alongside the meadows though).

Its a fairly rgular occurence down here and makes a lovely sight when the light is right.

I've put a selection of shots up showing the River and habour to show what a lovely place Christchurch is and how well its coping with the flooding on both the Avon and Stour, which meet in the town
