One of my favourite spots on Dartmoor, regardless of the weather or time of day - I seem to have been there in rain, snow, blazing sunshine and howling gales - usually all in the same day The wonky tilt is apparently the effect of generations of ponies and cattle using it as a scratching post, but it wouldn't be quite as appealing if it were upright. This is from an early morning visit on a rather changeable day, as the first rays of the sun broke through and briefly bathed the post in warm light. 10 minutes later it was raining!
Thanks for looking.
