Taken in WWT Slimbridge tropical house this is actually some breed of sparrow. They are something of a challenge due ot their diminuitive size, tendency to not sit still for too long and the environment they are housed in.

I think V1 first then V2..
All very sharp on the eye..

thanks Dave, have to confess i was befuddled with the myriad settings on the 'new' camera - have now determined ot turn off most of the theoretically clever things that were not on (and uneccessary) on the previous model... i was a little concerned regards excess noise on these but i suppose at 1250 i may be expecting too much

It's a wonderful little bird - and a good capture of it. I like the way the greens surround sets him off so well. And the pose is excellent.
