Many thanks for the interesting comments on my tweaked evening panorama. Did it as a test balloon , I wondered whether it would flop.. Walter, Sue and you are welcome to join us for a meal there, we'll invite you Smile

Back to some safer territory. A gatekeeper (Pyronia tithonus) balances on top of the echinacea in our garden to get some nectar out of the prickly center.

The detail throughout is amazing. It is very impressive how you can focus and then compose a great shot all in the short amount of time that these critters allow.

Both variants full of so much beauty, charm colour and detail that it is extremely different to pick out a favourite. However I think I prefer the wider picture, therefore I shall opt for image number II.

Regards Nathan

High quality image, Annette. Nicely done. Nice details. Deep

V2 for me I think Annette, it just has a much better quality than the crop, bit both images are worthy of the upload.

Two excellent echinacea and butterfly images Annette, I won't argue with the Big O it is v2 the smaller, warmer version that appeals the most
