A trio of Mig-29 shots for today.

The Mig-29 first flew in 1977 which makes it a relative newbie compared to its American equivalent the F-16.

To put it into context, this current front line fighter went into production the same time as the Mark 4 Cortina.

Saab used to claim their cars were inspired by the aircraft they produced (even though those had Volvo engines), but it seems that only car manufacturer to learn anything from the aviation industry is actually much more unlikely - Land Rover!
