This was taken back along,i just found this so funny, but at the same time brave of the young lad to come so close to the engine on his own.He must have a keen interest here.He was waiting patiently for the driver to look at him,in the end the train moved off and the lad was disapointed.

Yes he can be a bit funny at times,
but then he was looking out for the signal from the guard..

Very nice candid shot, if he was looking out for the Guard then I would have thought he would be looking the other way? unless he was tender first.
