This young lad, fully dressed in safety gear, was cleaning the lock gates in Rochdale Canal.
He was being "supervised " by 3 ....yes 3.... gaffers

See V2 .
You might need to look closely for the third one.

Love the boots hanging down! Are you sure there wasn't a 4th who had gone for the tea and bacon butties! The lad gets all the dirty work ....as usual! Looks as if he has his work cut out for him. Super shots.

Oh yes, that does look like it's pretty hard work to me.
-> It is a natural safety procedure to have only one lonely guy clean the lock, just in case the lock gate would suddenly open, this way we keep the casualty rate to a minimum. Company legislations & rules... Smile

-> Or maybe the tea that one of the gaffers brewed earlier on is that fantastic that there is just no need to waste that lovely cup of hot tea..... it aren't the same drinking it cold you know... Smile

-> But there was most likely a drastic shortage of that all important safety gear! Damn resession... Smile

Nicely observed there girl!
