And the rest went into the risotto Smile
Version 2 was taken a couple of days after V1; I can't decide which one I prefer.
I was very happy to receive Bill and Alan's user awards on my church window; thank you very much! Smile

Two beautiful images, hard to choose between them. Both are greatly composed. I do love the shadow of V2. (But I adore the petals of V1)...See??? I can't make up my mind!

V1 is best.
So is V2 .
And if there were a V3 it would have been best also.
If you see what I mean.
Excellent!

Bill

You have excelled yourself Rende, two superbly crafted images of the highest order. Whilst image two is brilliant in its own right, image one has been crafted by a forward thinking photographer with superb technical and artistic ability.

v2 looks good for the Saturday shadow but v1 is my winner for the composition and detail. The neutral background and presentation is perfect, Rende.

V2 is a bit sad for me, so it's V1, even though it has given up most of its petals they still have some apparent life in them.

v2 reminds me of a cloak slung over a shoulder - I like it very much - and it deserves to be an upload in its own right I feel.
v1 of course has to have my vote - beautifully captured SmileSmile
