Love the background colour and texture Kate, but the flower arrangement I am not keen on. the lighting is excellent.
Regards
Trev.
Lovely light in this nicely textured still.
Well done Kate. WesternRed.
We are all different and I rather like the linear arrangement if tulips in this.
I like trhe angle of the flower and the bg colour, Kate. A lovely presentation.
Dave
that wee vase would look great with a pint of real ale in it Kate like your background works well

Not too sure about this one, Kate: I feel the b/g tone here rather competes with the red of the tulips, and as Trev suggested the arrangement seems stiff and unnatural to my eye.
I think the arrangement can work however given a different presentation: I tried a very similar arrangement with the blooms in an almost horizontal position, the b/g totally black (that will not surprise you), no frame applied, the foot of the stems faded out and posted on site here with my black b/g merging seemlessly with the ePHOTOzine black b/g. At least I thought it worked and it came about from a suggestion by Dougie {Scottishlandscapes}.
Sorry if I seem a bit negative about this one, Kate: just my opinion, although I see from the above comments that others are pleased with your presentation.........suppose it takes all kinds, eh?
Ronnie.
Although the composition is quite sound I feel that the backdrop somewhat distracts slightly the eye from this wonderfully coloured tulip. If the opacity of the backdrop was reduced to around 60% I feel it was make the image more appealing. Your work is nevertheless still as wonderful as ever Kate.
