Thank you all very much for the support given to Loudon Hill II. It even got a vote from Pete (does that count as nearly an HC?
).
IN the absence of more new material this is a landscape version of a photograph I posted back in the Spring and shows thrift growing on the shoreline cliffs in Fleet Bay, Dumfries and Galloway.
Thanks for looking.

I really like this one, there is so much to look around the shot. Lovely rock textures & thrift in the foreground, the sea, island & posts in the distance and the footprints in the sand just lead you across the beach perfectly.
If I could pick up one little point, it would be that the sky is a little light and maybe could be bought down a touch, but it may be that this is the sky you wanted and I'm not a landscape photographer, so am not good at these things myself.

You have to just love Thrift, I'm sure it could grow on marble, tenacious wee plant that is so welcome on the cliffs to break the hard ines of rock. Just read the comment about the sky, I had noticed it earlier before I went out. I shot a similar sky a few days back and had the same problem getting it dark enough even after using a Lee 0.9 grad. I reckon the only way to tame a sky like this is blending 3 different exposures 2 or 3 stos eithe side of normal exposure.
