We went to Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park today. I loved these sculptures by Rob Mulholland. Sort of Gormley like but flat and made with reflective materials so the figure looks different from wherever you view it as it reflects the landscape around it. There are several of these figures and a super large shell shaped sculptor but the stormy weather dmaged some last week. The owner is hoping to have all the missing figures re - installed by next week. A super day out if you are in this neck of the woods.
V1 Taken looking towards Isle of Bute , the sculptor reflects the shore at Caol Rudh
V2 This time I took of my shoes, rolled up my trousers and waded out behind the fugure, now the Kyles of Bute are reflected in the sculptor with part of Caol Ruadh in the background, also you can see the revers of one of the sculptures which has black lines on it ( I suspect this figure has lost its reflective coatin on the back during the storm and the stripes are the inside of the sculptor. )
V3. Showing two of the figures- the reflection this time is the rocky part of the beach.
Thanks for looking and hope you all had a great day.
