A welder making a seamless join in a piece of stainless steel, using the TIG welding technique which relies on Tungsten Inert Gas. It was part of an industrial shoot.
I had to arrange the shot before the weld commenced because as soon as the tungsten arc is struck, The glass protective helmet visor darkens in a few nano seconds to pitch black.
The exposure was made at f/8.0 for 1/10th of a second and 70~200mm f/2.8L at 200mm plus a tripod.
