I got the white balance totally wrong for this shot but I love the composition (which took quite a few attempts to get!) so I had a play in black & white... I'd love to know what you think... I'll have a play with the colour version too and upload that in the next few days... thanks for looking, I look forward to reading your comments Smile

I like the bw treatment, which seems to emphasize the markings.

Thanks for all your comments, much appreciated. And thanks for the mod Dewey, I'd also tried a crop like that too!! Smile

Mary - Thanks for the tip! We'll be up before sunrise aiming to get the morning light hopefully! We're planning a trip to Tanzania at the end of October... staying in National Parks the whole time - Ruaha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti - can't wait!! Smile

Nice picture - makes a change to see a tiger in b/w and thought that I'd have a go at a variation whilst at it.

You might like to check out photographer Nick Brandt, whom I saw an article about in a magazine and bought his book. Some amazing pictures of wild animals in it and all in b/w!

I love all your animal photo's, but for me this one really has impact.

You really do feel as your looking the real toger in the eyes.

WOW!
