A couple of cat shots, the first being our Tilly, as you can see she is not the friendliest of cats in the world, unless she wants something Smile The other is our neighbours cat, we call it Ginger as we've never heard what his/her name is. We're not sure if the regular visits are friendly, adversarial, or as a suitor, whichever, from what we've seen Tilly can well take care of herself!

Many thanks for your interesting comments and votes on 'Trenton Park, 17 November', very much appreciated.

Must tell you about the sad sight I saw last night. Before I go off to bed I always have a look outside to see what the weather is like, well, last night when I looked there was a deer coming up the street obviously in distress, it was walking very slowly, weaving a bit like a drunk man and stopping all together at times as if to gather the strength to go on, I'd be very surprised if it made it through the night as the temperature was less than -10C.(14F). You feel you want to do something, anything, but there's nothing you can do unfortunately.

Should have mentioned, that corner of the deck is her favourite observation post, she can see the approach of friends or enemies very nicely there! Mind you, not that she seems to need that as she shows signs of having ESP, as she'll sometimes jump up and go to explore, long before another cat appears.

Tilly looks as though she can well look after herself, Jim, as most cats can, well captured. A sad tale about the deer, maybe it had been hit by a car? I do hope you don't come across the body in the morning, that would be heartbreaking. Carol

Your lovely Puss looks well fed and obviously has her place in your home.
Tis a shame about the wild animals that have to fend for themselves and live a rough life.

Tilly shows the same distrust when looking into a camera as ours does - if she's ever looking into a camera! I can imagine that she like this place, overlooking everything. Ginger seems not at all "at home" - maybe she's made her own bad experiences with Tilly.
A lovely set of images, all the more as I love cats!
Maybe you let us know if you hear something about that deer.

Two lovely portraits Jim - your Tilly is beautiful!
What a sad story about the deer - I am sure that if you had tried to help it would have tried to get away. Sad

Tilly is a fine looking lady, I can see why she attracted the big orange fellow.

As I see it, the orange one is wary and not so sure of his welcome-- which is just a swell, as it is Tilly's patch!

She is clearly a beautiful, well loved and cared for Tilly!

I'd look grumpy too if I was made to stay on that deck all the time, in all weathers Jim WinkTongue. 2 lovely cat shots and think Ginger looks a bit more friendly than your Tilly.
Sad about the deer, but that is nature I suppose.

She is a lovely cat, Jim. Nice portraits.
I know how you felt about the deer, and it is difficult to get it out of your mind.
Brian.

The epz site, here, has been very frustrating of late,. It won't keep still and does the most strange things. I dread going onto it.Sad
