in the days before my dslr. on holiday in lanzarote. i visited timanfaya volcano and afterwards the institute set up to monitor volcanic activity and teach school children about volcanoes. it was a real insight into how the canary islands were formed. i took this picture as i liked the way the light formed squares accross the timanfaya institute sign.
