Many thanks for your kind echo to the Sooty Satyr

here is something well out of my comfort zone.
I was volunteered to do the photos for a charity dog show on Tuesday. The event was covered by ITV for Little England and amongst others the country duo wanted pics. Please let me know what you think, I haven't done that sort of photo for more than 20 years.
Just a quick explanation v2 and 4 are the originals... V1 and 3 the conversions.

Two excellent images, Annette, V.1 is my preferred choice for the vote. I think in V.2 I would rather not see the two wavy lines above the singer's head. Carol

Two good shots Annette - I prefer the mono versions
V1 - I would burn down the bright spots in the bg a bit more - a bit distracting - A good crop and my choice for the vote
V2 - Pity about bg - but then you cant be choosy when taking the shot with performers on stage

Great set Annette, think both colour and mono work each has its own merits. Think V1 for me.

A rather beautiful set, which have been made somewhat magical with the addition of the mono tints.

The toning on the images especially V1 helps focus on the instument
and the music.
Not easy images to take so well done for doing so.

Sorry about this, I must have worn my critical head this morning, but I think that V's 2 & 3 need some work to correct the shadow on the upper part of the figure that is taking the attention away from his face. Fortunately this is pretty easy to do (I know, I copied them and did it) but you haven't enabled mods so that I can show the results. If you want the modified versions (one colour, one mono) and the method, just message me.

V4 is my favourite and well worth a vote in its own right.

V4 is my pick....the color makes it look like fire coming from her fiddle, and shows the animation of the moment.
I'm not wild about the man, with his mouth wide open...although he might like it.

These are good indeed, I often have a groan about microphone placement, then try and move sideways to remove microphone from mouth.

V1 is excellent. Can you perhaps remove the top section of the canvas from behind the singer? Would improve V2 a lot, I think.
