For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil...
I wanted to use very shallow depth of field to convey nightmare, menace. I see this as the face pressed against the window, trying to get in. I'm not sure if it's worked.
Black & white conversion, with a hint of tint. It gives much the same tones as the original, but more evenly.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

I like your quote from the 'Dead Parrot Sketch' ![]()
. The face is well captured but does look more sad than frightening.

Interesting. I see this as the face pressed against the window, peering in, trying to get in.
Thanks folks,
Moira
Well as to your first point I'll let you know tomorrow morning Moira.
Shakespeare had a way with words and you have a way with that camera.

Wonderful shot, great textures and tones, I like this a lot

It works, and it would make a great Halloween image!

Mick, Bill tells me that you are in a sheep-hating mood today. Have I missed something? ![]()
Thanks everyone, having a busy day and the internet connection is playing up.

I'm not surprised that someone turned him to stone
!
A bit scary this - especially opening on my default setting of View Large!
A great shot, Moira, with lots of detail, and yes, it does look like the face is squashed up against a window ![]()

My goodness - "dream" or "nightmare" Moira? Excellent work.
Mike
apologies for not commenting earlier Moira but I simply ran out of time, club night and I had to dash - out most of today so you can imagine things got pretty desperate - the picture presented today shows good tones and textures and is well sharp. I rather like the treatment you have used and prefer it to some of the other similar shots you have shared.
A very hideous and grotesque close up Moira, at first I thought this was the Big O after one of his sleepless nights!![]()
