A black and white repost. I tried a high pass filter followed by USM as suggested by a few helpful members on here.
All feedback/critique gratefully received thanks

I think the mono treatment's OK, except that I think in the conversion process you've lost some useful detail. I think the dark foreground is quite distracting the way it's just in dark shadow and kind of cuts off the legs of the bridge. I think at least you could pull out more detail in the strip of water below it so it's clear it's an island. A bit of work with a carefully applied curve and a bit of dodging on the island itself to drag out whatever detail's there should help - or go back to the colour one and apply the curve there first to bring out some detail and then convert?

Just my thoughts, hope they're some use

Stephen

Thanks for your time and comments Stephen, I'll have a crack at that and repost. I'm still stumbling through the whole processing thing!
