I found this lady's hands and pincushion ring quite fascinating. She was a most accomplished and creative seamstress.
V2 is the color version. I thought I would like it better, but I seem to prefer the mono for this image. What do you think?

At first I thought they were pinned to her hand. Blush

Craftspeople's hands are always good subjects. I dithered a bit between mono and colour - but V1 is about the hands and the character, not the fabric and pins...

Fewer distractions with V1, which allows the viewer to concentrate on the subject.

I usually go for colour Joline,
but in this case I prefer the mono.
I think the pincushion ring is a bit of a distraction in colour !!

A fascinating ring which I would have thought would get in the way when working.
The mono does work well for reasons above.

V1 is a very fine shot Joline and the mono is effective however, for me colour wins almost every time.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

The overall image works very well in mono, Joline, but you get the true splendour of that ring in colour Smile

For me, anyway.
