On looking out the window early doors I nearly didn't bother getting up for this one. The extra hour or two in bed would have been nice. just about enough colour to make it worthwhile I think. About an hour after this it royally wanged it down for the rest of the day. Rydal Water, Lake District.

Very flat lighting but an excellent composition, then the sun arrives and lifts this to a beautiful image. Well perservered.

Yes the lighting was flat, we were hoping and praying that gap in the cloud would open right up but it wasn't happening. I am still happy with this though, the met office had given out very heavy rain for throughout the previous night and all that day so it turned out to be a bonus shot.
