A Tornado GR4 with long range tanks, leaving Gibraltar after a month long stay.

The original photo had a plain washed out sky so a bit of manipulation was called for.

I have also uploaded two other versions and the original photo.

Man those after burners nearly tear your ears off, what a noise..

Flying as low above the water as it does in version 1, surely you should see some movement in the water? Otherwise a very nice shot and manipulation.

..........and the setting or rising sun on the far side of the A/C would'nt light up the port wing but hey looks ok. Wink

its well executed but for me that fact that the sun is on the horizon would suggest that the light hitting the aircraft would not illuninate it from above, I have done a similar thing myself with this image but managed to get a more even light. A great shot of the plane though..PhilWink

Already mentioned above Re edit (sun position and wing highlights).. Something I do to add some life to a simple sky is to simply introduce a blue gradient from left to right or top to bottom depending where the sun was in relation to the aircraft. Works for me, remember the subject is the plane not the sky.
