I submitted this for the 'Great' competition a while back and meant to upload to my p/f. So here it is..
A well known view but with some emphasis on the tourists and a splash of post production
Cheers for looking,
awesome...it's like a 360 view. great idea of scale of the place too.
now this IS stunning
another winner from you, Paul.....
Great HDR work...??
certainly up to your usual magnificent standard. *applause*
interesting that you used a portrait crop for this shot? maybe what makes this special to look at is that its away from the usual "panoramic" style presentation?
excellent work, well done, ads :o)
Very nice work, Paul.
Have you toned this, or employed some other method?
Beautifully done Paul, love the toning and upright composition.
It's taken from a single RAW, but blended multi exposures (so, kinda HDR) and then tone mapped.
Ah, I see!
Whilst I'm sure you don't want to give away your technique, when you say multi exposures, do you mean that you exposed for different elements of the shot (ie, shadows, highlights etc)?
Excellent perspective, well done.
Just a variety of stops, Michael from the same RAW file.
Superb version. Paul
Stunning shot, great angle and composition.
Superb work, very nicely done indeed!!
Done countless times, but the post production together with the nice grouping of figure makes this a good one.
Very nice (and different) take on a popular subject, very nicely done.
nice to see this again. cracker
Fantastic, happy to make it 30
A fine shot Paul with a great sense of scale. Subtle post-processing adds to the drama, but I do find the foreground less well toned than the middle and background. It's darker and murkier looking. Would it be worth dodging to lighten the foreground up a little?
Humbly Yours, Dave.
Oh gawd, thanks Pete
Wow!!! Amazing shot! Congrat on EC award!
A beauty! The post-processing is superb.
Have you entered this in Internationals.
Brillian pic. Congrats on the EC. I keep meaning to visit here...
Awesome work Paul, congrats on your EC.
Excellent image with great tonalities. Like the composition and fine detail.
Excellent work, Paul - both in capturing and processing!
Photo of the week for me.
Hats off to you Paul, I'm with Andy on this one.
Thanks guys - much appreciated
This is great. Really like the portrait format here, great composition, great bw. Well deserved EC.
Superb image with post production. May be removing the odd figuers that are cut on the sides of frame would make this even stronger Paul. Ron.
Image very nicely framed, the toning suits it. An excellent shot of a popular spot.
in three words: S U PERB !!!
. . Masterful! . . . enough success already . . . .
. . all the best a another great year Paul!
