Another in the series Chateaux Clan Ben Ali (See here for full description).
Here I wanted to create a sense of abstract the geometry of the spiral staircase - a major feature of the Chateaux. Revolution to those who are not directly involved is always to some degree a abstract phenomenon. The spiral downwards is symbolic. I decided to use the lens baby to give emphasis to the dust and grime left over after the troubles - yet it is also clear that a well trodden path has been taken. I also like the void where the once grand bannister has been ripped from its mooring.
As ever your thoughts are appreciated.
Rgds,
Adam

Dizziness, vertigo, the confusion of revolution. Some go up, some go down, it may not be immediately apparent which is which.
Bill is standing over my shoulder pointing out that it's at a most unusual angle for a spiral staircase shot - normally people look straight up or straight down, this is oblique and disturbing.
I was hoping you would upload a real belter from this location this week. This is photography that says something.
Moira

Ah, I was pretty much going to say what Moira has said. It certainly invokes a sense of falling and in that way provides a link to the fall of the dictator by violent means. Don't know if the link was intentional in that sense but it works. As does the void; a break in the structure without bringing the whole thing down.
