Blurry car light trails can look great but you need a good location to get an interesting composition.

Taken at 'magic hour' when the sky is deep blue just before going black, this was shot from a mini tripod on about five seconds exposure. The ghostly bus image was achieved by firing a flash at minus two stops at the start of the exposure.

This image was taken specifically for our downloadable photography course, Digital Photography Exposed.

Superb image. Caught perfectly, although perhaps the bus number plate is bit too bright - not sure?!?

Brilliant Mike! I agree with Colin about the number plate, I'd be tempted to tone it down a bit - wonder what it's like cloned out?

Anyhow, gets my vote - Click!

I have seen one very similar to this in a magazine I think. However, this image beats it hands down. Absolutely stunning shot. I keep coming back to look at this image, I HAVE got to have a go at this as I think it is awesome. Getting an award as my wife has just reminded me I can.

Its a good capture and the time of day was chosen perfectly, as was the exposure time. However, I would have keft the flash out. I think this would look better with the trails but without the transparent bus image. Just my opinion. Ryan
