This was a quick shot of a Steamer departing from platform 3 at Keighley Station , I say a quick shot , as I had set up nicely on another part of the platform to get a nice view , then the train started and some very kind person stood smack in front of me , asked politely but fell on his deaf lugs I think,

Gwynn, the locomotive encased in steam is wonderful. Gives a sense of what is was, and is, and the romance of the old coal fired steam days.........and of course today, of the carbon dioxide the coal is putting into our atmosphere. Sorry, I could not help it. One of the other things I do in life is work as a climate change activist.

This is a truly wonderful image.

Lovely shot of this engine.Interesting comment.I haven't heard anybody refer to ears as "lugs" since my dad died.I recall we had a "Lugsy" at school,in Annan.Grin
