I am not worried if you don't give me votes for this shot. I have spent many visits to Mumbai and when I came home tonight after a long day's work, saw the devastation that terrorism can cause to a city. I visited the Taj Hotel which has been attacked and whilst I despair at the devastation to the heritage architecture, I more importantly remember the kindness shown by the staff who worked there . I don't know if they are still alive.
I am still intending visiting India in December- we cannot be controlled by terrorism. This shot is over the bay at Mumbai from another 4* hotel, which could have been attacked but was not at that time. To me it is the optimism of a new day- the sunrise over a vibrant, and wonderful country. If not for me, give them your vote. June x

Great shot. Wonderful sentiment. In a beautiful world why is there so much sorrow?

Beautiful tribute June.
You are so right, we can't let terrorism control our life and I'm glad you decided to upload such an optimistic image.

This is a strange shot - in that the colours and arrangement are so peaceful and calm, yet the actual story behind it is anything but. It's a great juxtaposition, I think.

But the colours and tones are beautiful and I particularly like the way the eye is led from the top left down to the bottom right - great stuff!
