In between there is the most glorious sweep of the beach at Coatham leading out towards the South Gare of the River Tees. The wind was blowing a very low level storm of fine driven sand... I was fearful for the camera!

... And a hat on at a very jaunty angle. That's what makes it work for me. Plus the softness of the blown sand.

Great shot love the colours. Lovely presentation of a lovely image

A first-class composition, Mike. The horizon is perfectly placed, the tripod marker also - and the cloud looks as if it could be steam emerging from a rather enigmatic funnel. Superb tones for a bright, windy and chilly Teesside day.
