I love the flower photography of both Imogen Cunningham and Robert Mapplethorpe ~ and they are the inspiration behind this image.
The tulip is one that was growing in the garden. I didn't want to pick it so I placed a black card behind it and used a reflector to enhance the light.
V2 shows the original flower before the mono conversion.
Many thanks to Keith (Niknut) for helping out with my RGB problem yesterday. Happily, I seem to have sorted it now. Turns out I was assigning sRGB when I should have been converting! All still about as clear as mud but it does seem to be working okay ![]()

Both nice versions Judith although mono looks better, it highlights the shadows more.
