I do like this Conrad - but here the effect is perhaps too subtle.

I did initially think it was just a tad overpowering, but placed in comparison, the first upload is the best IMO.

Eileene.

Reducing the opacity of the flower has worked well in my opinion.

Well does the HC mean you've found it, or just found the version Pete likes?

I think I like the addition of the shadow (whether at time of taking or PS) as it now gives depth where some of the others have appeared flat.

Thanks, everyone! And thank you, too, Pete!

Lyns, that's still my own preference, too. But I suppose it's good that we all have different tastes - what a dull place the world would be if we didn't...

Eileene, I'm glad I was able to put things in perspective with these different versions. Sometimes we just need to see things in relation to eachother to determine what we like best.

Tony, thanks - I had an idea that this was basically what some of those who commented on 1 and 2 were after.

Cheryl - The shadow is PS work, but I did indeed feel that it made the flower appear to have some distance from the background. As for the HC: I think it's neither! It must mean that Pete sort of likes it, but feels it isn't perfect. Emma's latest EC is probably a better indication of what Pete really likes.

So - question is: do I need a fourth version? I really have no idea what else to do with it.

Conrad

Prefer this to No.2 it blends nicely with BG without any loss and is so much easier on the eye but then it comes down to personal taste I suppose, lovely work all the same Conrad.

edit...Congrats on HC.
