Spent a few hours on waders last week. This one is a turnstone landing
They are a very approachable bird and quite comical as the turn over stones and other material in their search for food.

Lovely action shot with pin sharp head. Shame his right wing blends into the background and therefore doesn't get the definition it deserves.
