Part of the Grand Harbour shot at twilight just as the street lights were coming on.

Taken from the Lower Barraka Gardens, the lit arched structure at the top right is the Upper Barraka Gardens where one may savour a marvellous breathtaking view of most of the Grand Harbour beneath you. Lying beneath are part of the historic bastions of the capital Valletta. Further down at sea level is Fisheries Wharf, a hive of activity especially in the mornings as the fishermen land their catches. In the evenings, the setting takes on quite a different feel ...

The peaceful serene setting with the twilight colours and the street lights coming on made me go for this shot. I hope you like the composition, viewed large preferably. All comments and feedback are welcome. Thanks for viewing.

Joe

Wonderful shot of the harbour with super evening light.
The thing that jars with me is the cruise liner which is just too white (not your fault but the company bosses). I would be inclined to burn it in a bit so that it doesn't catch the eye as much

Every detail on this picture is perfect, the reflections on the water The sunset evening sky giving that end of day feeling, and enhancing the shot. Exceptional work. Focus spot on. Good composition, plenty to see. Good presentation and write up.

great shot, love the colors.

The architecture in this image is very interesting. It would be nice if that cruise ship was out of the way, so the shot would have an old feel to it.
