With the howling gale and rain outside, outdoor photography has been impossible. I took a look around the empty pool and I spotted these two scorpionflies trying to shelter from the wind. A quick photo shoot in the lounge and then back outside to a slightly more sheltered spot.

A beautiful capture, the details are wonderful. Smile
(What a shame one of them wasn't a male, it would have been brilliant to compare the differences)

I'd love to be an insect and live in your pool as I would know you would rescue me. Aren't they marked beautifully?

Interesting if they were indoors my wife would get the hoover out! good for you Carol, well done as usual, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

....like twin pets. "Hold it there......now, smile!" You just have a way with your insects.

Great shots.
I have only ever found one of these and that was a while ago. It scared the life out of me when it appeared from the grass it was hidden in.
