Re-work of an image that I first uploaded earlier this year .............
Excellent, they both stand alone, too hard to choose between the two.
I agree with scara it is hard to choose....but no. 2 has a little more bite to it for me.
And.....scara should be getting those jacket potatoes ready for us to have after the bonfire !!
Oddly I prefer No.1 on my screen but no.2 on Maeves's screen.Hope that sorts it out for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant. I think v2 but only just!
V1 for a vote
V1 for me - has that extra level of 'mood'.
Thanks guys and V1 for me ........... I don't think the warped horizon in v2 works too well and the sun in v1 is maybe in a better place for the shadows
Yours faithfully, Oleg.
V1 Dave, I think you went wat too far on so many levels with #2
V1 for me too. A superb eerie image.......Sandy
Thanks guys and you're dead right Nick .... I've taken a lot of ideas from (ssssssh) "t'other channel" for images like this but I applied them far too aggressively in the first version. But subtlety and finesse is something that doesn't come too naturally to us Brummies
Yay ...... two GEA's in a row Cheers Phillip
Ships I see no ships. Another great image Dave.
The more subdued look -or should that be the more desolate look? - attracts me more, Dave. V2 is too bright and shiny for the subject matter.
Thanks Malc and I tend to agree with you ...... and blimey thanks Pete 'cos that is a proper surprise
Going with V1 congrats on the EC and GEA here Dave
Defo v1. Congrats on all the gongs.
v2 clever you have made a hill.
Cracking stuff with the re-worked image, nothing wrong with the original either.
V1 for me Dave, the second one looks a bit 'wrong' somehow, could be the dodgy horizon..anyroad I prefer the colours in V1.
A couple of extra stickers I see...well done
..... they are Lesser Spotted Meadow Pippits and they are a long way off in the distance
Superb work on this, love the plumes of whatever it is comming up...lighting on the twitcher is first rate...
Fabulous stuff Dave
Good sense of humour in your images, really enjoyed your portfolio.
Thank you for your award too, it is much appreciated.
Thanks guys and many thanks for your UA Mr Mollie ..... really appreciated
Really love the colours and atmosphere of 2. Excellent manipulation. paul
