Composition is good, the only thing i would have done is wait for the sun to drop below the horizon, its blown out here, as will be the case in most of these shots, try and position it behind something if possible.

You have framed the scene excellently with the tree, Bob, a very good composition, and I can see you have tried to keep the sun on the right hand third (Rule of Thirds). Personally, I would have relaxed that 'guide' a bit and move a bit to my left and put the sun and figures directly under the high point of the tree frame. As Mike says, I would also wait awhile until the sun was going behind the low cloud or sinking below the horizon to prevent the bright areas being blown out. A case of taking several shots at different stages of the sunset and choosing the effect which you like most.

Thank's for your comments, very much appreciated. As someone relatively new to my new hobbie (Which I love) I am still learning and this is where this website helps me. Then again I hope I never stop learning. I will in future stick around and take pictures at different stages of the scene. I can see how this will help. Must try to be more patient (Very hard for me). Bob
