Hi there, good morning to you all.
Many thanks once again for taking the time to look and vote and comment on the pics uploaded.
Today...another shot of the black maned Lion found at Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Kalahari.
This little pride consisted of 3 juvenile males and 2 females. I was under the impression that the mother of this lot was taking them through the "Right guys, you're on your own after today" scenario as a day or 2 after this shot was taken we found the 3 juvenile males and 1 young female about 4km from this area. 10km further on we found a lone female lying under a tree and 2or 3 km from her we saw an adult male. I gathered from information that I had gleaned that the female was ready to mate once again which is the norm once cubs have reached a certain age.
In this pic the prides rest was disturbed by a small herd of Blue Wildebeest. They looked as if they were in need of a meal, but it was mid day and far to hot for them to hunt. I reckon that if the wildebeest had walked up to them and said:-Hey here I am...eat me, they might have complied!
Have a great day.
