Two very differing faces of Prague. The top photo was taken outside a nightclub next door to our hotel - a Mercedes McLaren SLR, the basic STARTING price of which is a cool quarter of a million pounds or about $400,000. The bottom pic was taken in a narrow street just near the Old Town Square.

Makes you think, doesn't it.

Just as an addendum - at one time in my life I'd have spent my last penny buying the car I wanted, though with age and common sense this is no longer the case. Currently I drive a VW Golf GTI 2L turbo with 200bhp, which goes like **** off a shovel with a 0-60 time of 7 secs. The above machine does the same in 3.7secs - a car to die for!

A very meaningful picture... People buy cars that are soo expensive, you shouldn't care if it even got 1/2 mile per gallon. Oh and speaking of fuel costs and speed, the old 1976 C-111 5-cylinder turbo diesel 230HP@4400-4600rpm got 14.7mpg doing 195.4 miles per hour (imagine the mpg at 55mph?!lol), with a top speed of 211MPH 0-60 in a little over 4 seconds.

2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Top Speed 207.00 mph

Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg) : 18 and EPA city (mpg) : 13.

I thought mercedes engine partslink removed by epz] technology was improving!
