Couple of fungi shots taken at the Epping meet last weekend, love the water droplets on this one on the stalk and the head.

Thanks for all clicks and comments on the last post, blown away by the response on a shot that I thought was "just really nice colours" so thanks to all who looked.

Comments and crits welcome as this is a subject I struggle with getting focus and DoF just right so pointers are very helpful.

No problem with focus or DOF on either of these, and the lighting is good too. My only suggestion would be to show a bit more of the surroundings, particularly the base, to enhance the location of the shroom.

Thanks guys...a fair comment Tony it is cropped from a shot with 2 deceivers but I liked the water on this and maybe cropped it too tight...thanks Steve

They both look pretty good to me re the DOF Steve, particularly V1 - lighting's good too!

Super shots - especially the first.
As you say the water droplets really finish it of.
