A Marbled White Melanargia galathea, from yesterday evening's session at Twywell
The beauty of Twywell, is that it is less than a ten minute drive from home, so I can keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly![]()

A cracking capture, Adrian.
Hopefully the weather will clear here by this afternoon so I may get a chance to get out too.

A very nice roosting shot Adrian
You seem to be well placed there, for these and the Emperors - am rather envious as I have to drive for 2 hours to get anywhere for them. There is one PE site nearby (40 mins) but its always crowded with people unfortunately.
Stunning insect macro photography Adrian.
Regards
Trev.
An outstanding close up of this male marbled white Adie, one of your very best mate. Its wings markings and patterns have been captured in such intricate detail.
Lovely detail very delicate look to it! love it! I'm supposed to be doing the butter fly count! hardly any and what there are is mainly large cabbage whites, three Comma's and a red Admiral one common blue! not much to shout about there, nice shot very nice, regards Leon.![]()
