I took this at the September Duxford Airshow (I was planning to go to the one last Sunday but the weather decided me against it). This was the best display I have yet seen by a Typhoon, a remarkable aircraft IMO. Just after the display, the heavens opened for the first of two heavy showers that afternoon. I hope you like the shot.

Brooding sky and afterburner - can't beat it. Heat haze and the vapour over the wings too. Sometimes, it's better not to have the blue skies at an airshow. Like it.

The grey of the plane stands out well from the blue in the sky.
I rarely see these so close by the time I hear them they are a dot in the sky.
They appear out of nowhere it seems in the glens of Scotland and roar out of sight in seconds.

Thank you Steve and Dougie. Dougie, I hear military jets at home, but never see these close unless I'm at an Airshow.

A great shot, but imho I would have tried a different crop
