A straight forward three quarters view of BR pacific No 71000 Duke of Gloucester making a swift departure from Paddington on the Great Britain rail tour.
Gorgeous shot, full of power and grunt.

Goodness me that is an impressive lean on that - a wonder she didn't roll over!
Superb, really powerful capture
Excellent images, i think V1 and three are best, well captured
Great images Robin, I like then all, but my favourate is number 3.
You really should be approaching British Rail with these wonderful shots, would make a great exhibition.
Combination of electric and steam, awesome Robin. Ron.
superb as usual
Super set! Love No. 1 but also like the speedy feel to No. 2
Three excellent images; I like the sense of movement in version 2.
Version 2 has great sense of movement
Wonderful images again Robin... I love ver 2 the speed and the pure power is just so evident, nice one.
Three excellent images, all equally good.
What a gorgeous shot again. Another candidate for cover of your steam railway picture book that many will love to have

looks like the lens has struggled with chromatic abberation on #1 (on the wires) or it's the sharpening which is doing this? a good image, the condensed compact comp with the layering of wires and full plume are a treat, it would be worth another look in PS to finish this off fully. Sorry to sound critical on this, I'd just like to see the full potential of the shot realised.
Three really great shots.
#1.....This is the quintessential railway photograph where the subject and the photo are both perfect IMHO. Brilliant. H5
Lovely shot - JudeC
Love all the lines and wires here
Real power in a complete railway scene
