York - what a beautiful place! Europe's best preserved medieval streets, Christmas markets, lovely friendly people and a town with hundreds of unique little shops in narrow, cobbled streets that are a pleasure to pootle around.

York Minster - one of the great cathedrals of the world - and what a place! In the crypt you can see the original Roman levels underneath the central tower where Emperor Constantine lived, also the remains of the Norman levels, medieval levels and 'modern' day restoration.

Thanks for your kind comments about my home city & I am really pleased you enjoyed your visit, it's heart warming to think that other people love this wonderful place as much as we do living here.

A super image of the Minster & nice write up too

V4 works best for me - this is all about impact, instilling fear in the faithful.

Good crisp, clear images, I like the imaginative approach to the architecture in V4 especially. York is a great favourite of mine.
