I had intended to do a very different shot but it didn't work so rather I settled for this instead. A small box of eggs (original shot in mod section), much cloning and then some local colourisation.

Great idea, looked very abstract from the thumbnail. Very pleasing to the eye.......................click*

Very different from the origimal shot taken with loads of thought & colour processing put in. The result I think is outstanding!
I clicked on this simply because the thumbnail told me to.
Very surprised that this only received a few clicks, deserves more IMO.
Nice one Pete

Great idea - wonder if the perspective is not quite square on as the image seems to "lean" a little (only a fraction) left to right. Perhaps the egg box was not quite square on to your camera. Love the idea though wonder if brighter stronger colours would improve impact and I would have maybe avoided symmetry between first and last column of eggs. Nit picky sod - sorry!
Coming across like one of these optical games that plays havoc with the eye sight. A hell of a lot of work Pete, but worth it for originality.
Thanks for the Birthday Wishes appriciated, and yes the music was good.
Cheers Victor
great looking image pete - the opposing egg colour really stands out well against the others. i'm wondering what the chicks/chickens will look like if the eggs are this range of colours - will make for an interesting site =)
keep up the great work - this was definitely worth the effort put in

Quote: Michael did you get my email re the book?
i replied to one dated april 1 and uploaded the file, but that's the last one i have from you. is this the one you are referring to? otherwise, no, i didn't. may try mwatkins9801 at yahoo dot com as it seems to work better. thanks-
Eggceedingly eggistential!
(Sorry, I just could not help myself!)

Very striking Pete. Excellent graphic.
IMHO it would have benefited from either a slight crop on the left to mirror the right edge or - preferably - an inclusion of a bit more of the tray on the right to mirror the left edge... (DOes that make sense?)
My compliments.
Mike
This is such a lovely photograph.
I would like to thank you for spending so much time sharing around work and appreciating the work of others on this site. In particular I'm very grateful for your attention to my work.
Have a great 2011!
Best wishes
Stephen
