Back to the archives today, with a rather strange hopper I found in the autumn.
I like v1 the best Carol
Certainly is a funny looking colour Carol... Terrific clarity and detail as usual.
That's not a hopper....................it's a twig!!
He certainly is very different! V1 gets the click though I do love that wonderful, almost mosaic pattern you captured on his back in V2.
Its like a tiny dragon, super and interesting Carol.
Definitely your usual hopper !! Thanx to you we can see all the tiny detail we would have missed !! These are excellent images Carol !! After looking again I think this is a crossbreed between a hopper and a cricket
The facial expression creates sympathy for this hopper with broken left antenna (V1). Wing pattern is well exposed in V2. - Raja.
fantastic detail carol brilliant colour and tones v1 just nicks it for me today a stunner nice one
Very cute looking face.

I don't know how you can tell one hopper from another Carol.
V1 is mine.
Una maravilla de fotografía. Aquí coloquialmente se les llama "María palito".
Interesting fella! Gill

He's rather long and lean. A great capture.......Sandy
He is tranparent.......... Lovely macro's Carol
He is a strange looking one - he has changed colour to match the fall tones - he has also lost parts of his antennae! Poor thing.
It sure is unusual but beautifully photographed, Carol.
